Roman Oberauer has joined the management team at CANCOM Austria AG and is responsible for the Managed Services division in Austria
On 1 June 2026, Roman Oberauer took over as Managing Director of CANCOM Converged Services GmbH, heading up the Managed Services division within the CANCOM Austria Group. In this role, Roman Oberauer will drive the expansion of CANCOM’s successful Managed Services business, focusing on scalable and efficient operating models and the continuous development of the service portfolio – combined with long-term, stable customer relationships and the highest quality in service delivery.

Roman Oberauer has more than two decades of experience in senior roles within the IT and telecommunications sectors. Most recently, he served as Country Managing Director/CEO of NTT Austria GmbH, where his responsibilities included the strategic reorientation of the company and the establishment of new product and service portfolios. Prior to that, at NTT Austria GmbH, he headed up the Go-to-Market and Innovation divisions, among others, and played a key role in the successful implementation of a managed services strategy as well as in significantly increasing the sales pipeline. In addition, he brings extensive experience from his many years at A1 Telekom Austria, where he was responsible in particular for the development and operation of complex IT services.
