AISEMO?
AISEMO is a specialist in the development and sale of hardware and software systems for the injection molding industry. These are used as complete solutions for monitoring and optimizing production processes.
The company, headquartered in Weibern (Upper Austria), was founded in 2019 and operates additional locations in Linz and Vienna.
CANCOM Austria emerged from K-Businesscom (formerly Kapsch BusinessCom) at the beginning of 2024. The following case study was written before that and therefore the text was left in the original version.
Business Challenge
One of the challenges for AISEMO is the industrial environment with various disruptive factors for data transmission. In collaboration with KBC, concepts are being developed for the implementation of key components at data interfaces, IoT solutions and edge-to-cloud interfaces.
The aim is to increase the scalability, stability, cost efficiency and security of the overall solution. It should be able to be offered and used globally.
Solution
AISEMO Analytics is characterized by an innovative approach to monitoring and optimizing injection moulding machines. The digitalization solution functions as a flexible plug-and-play system regardless of the manufacturer or model of the networked systems.
The wireless sensors are installed without interfering with the machine (non-invasive) or the local IT infrastructure. They record acceleration data, which is transferred to the AWS cloud via an edge gateway. There, a specially trained AI analyzes it. It accesses an intelligent machine learning model and a comprehensive data lake.
Users receive real-time data on the production status of their machines and important insights for detecting deviations in the production process, predictive maintenance and scrap prevention.

KBC supported AISEMO with consulting, the PoC (proof of concept) and the IoT and cloud architecture.

Value

Future prospects
AISEMO is currently working on scaling the system for worldwide operation. The digitalization solution is to be offered globally in order to achieve the most sustainable and resource-saving plastics processing possible worldwide. This project represents a major challenge, which KBC is supporting as a competent partner .
