What is the
future initiative"WLAN 2021"?

The St. Pölten City Council's future initiative "WLAN 2021" at aims to provide the city's compulsory schools with access to digital teaching and learning content. Together with the City Council's Department of Culture and Education, KBC has developed end-to-end solutions for the Wi-Fi infrastructure at schools in the Lower Austrian capital.

CANCOM Austria emerged from K-Businesscom (formerly Kapsch BusinessCom) at the beginning of 2024. The following case study was written before that and therefore the text was left in the original version.

Business Challenge

The expansion of digitalization in schools is fundamentally a complex task. The aim is to achieve a high level of benefit for pupils, teachers and administrators. What makes such projects difficult is the fact that many stakeholders are involved. Timely and cost-efficient implementation is only possible with targeted and strong project management.
