Austrian National Bank

New Innovation Room with the best media technology from KBC for the Austrian National Bank.
Who is the
Austrian National Bank?

The Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB) is the central bank of the Republic of Austria. As such, it is an integral part of the European System of Central Banks (ESCB). In the public interest, it therefore helps to shape economic development both in Austria and in the euro area. The OeNB is independent and not subject to directives. Its guiding values are stability and security. The OeNB's core tasks include cash, monetary policy, financial market stability, statistics and payment transactions. In addition, the OeNB promotes science and research, is involved in the dissemination of economic and financial knowledge, promotes art and culture and is committed to diversity and sustainability

CANCOM Austria emerged from K-Businesscom (formerly Kapsch BusinessCom) at the beginning of 2024. The following case study was written before that and therefore the text was left in the original version.

Business Challenge

It all started with the comprehensive planning and architecture of the room. It was important to obtain the implementation and equipment from a single source. In addition, an independent network and comprehensive media technology equipment had to be available in the room. The right approach to coordinating the individual trades in project management also had to be mastered.

Close collaboration with the architect made it possible to implement a state-of-the-art room concept with an interactive whiteboard, digital door signs, video conferencing, ceiling cameras, digital room control and an independent network

  • Complete planning and implementation from a single source
  • The latest media technology - state of the art

"KBC responded exactly to our needs. The well thought-out planning and implementation were professional as usual, remained within the agreed time and cost framework and went off without a hitch despite the high complexity of the project."
